Clear Aligner Orthodontics

Clear Aligner Therapy at Parkside Dental

Clear Aligner Orthodontics Services Offered in Tea, SD

At Parkside Dental, we provide top-quality, custom-designed clear aligners for orthodontic treatment. Our clear aligners, designed by Dr. Alex W. Broesder, offer numerous benefits over traditional braces and other aligner brands like Invisalign.

Benefits of Our Clear Aligners vs. Invisalign

Our custom and comfortable in-house clear aligners can gradually align your teeth, making them easier to clean and less susceptible to wear-and-tear. But what makes our aligners better than Invisalign?

  1. In-House Design and Fabrication:
    • Our aligners are designed and fabricated 100% in-house, ensuring a faster turnaround time and superior quality compared to alternatives.
    • Invisalign outsources design and manufacturing outside the United States, leading to longer wait times.
    • Tooth movements are designed by a professional dentist, Dr. Broesder, rather than someone without formal dental training.
  2. Personalized Care:
    • Each aligner is custom-designed by Dr. Broesder, ensuring precise digital treatment planning tailored to your specific needs.

Conditions Treated with Clear Aligners:

  • Open bite
  • Crowded teeth
  • Wide gaps
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite

Achieving the Best Results with Clear Aligners:

Wear Your Aligners Consistently:

You must wear your aligners for at least 23 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink, or brush your teeth.

Clean your aligners as you would your normal teeth and keep them in a safe place.

Wear each aligner for 2 weeks before progressing to the next set, unless otherwise instructed.

Attend your follow-up appointments at Parkside Dental and inform the team if anything happens to your aligners.

The Process of Getting Aligners

  1. Initial Consultation:
    • During your first visit, Dr. Broesder will conduct a thorough examination, including X-rays and digital imaging, to assess your dental needs and create a personalized treatment plan.
  2. Presentation
    • Dr. B will assemble a comprehensive plan for your treatment, including an estimation of duration and determination of cost. We will also break down your insurance coverage for you.
  3. Placement:
    • In a subsequent visit, the buttons are bonded to your teeth, which help give the aligners more comprehensive movement capabilitys. This process usually takes about 1-2 hours. We may also perform a procedure called IPR (or inter proximal reduction)
  4. Checks:
    • Regular follow-up appointments, typically every 6-8 weeks, are necessary to ensure your teeth are moving as planned. These adjustments are crucial for the success of the treatment.
  5. Refinement:
    • This is where Parkside Dental truly outshines competitors. Refinements in the past have been viewed negatively with aligners like Invisalign because ordering new trays can take 4-6 weeks. At Parkside Dental, we complete refinements tray fabrication within 7 days! You can expect between 1-2 refinements with any clear aligner company, meaning you’ll finish with Parkside clear aligner therapy 1-3 months before the other guys!

F.A.Qs

Clear aligners are an orthodontic treatment that serves the same purpose as traditional braces. Instead of using brackets, wires, and bands, clear aligners utilize custom devices that fit over your teeth and apply pressure at different points to shift and straighten them over time.

Every case is different, but the team can evaluate you to decide if clear aligners are the best orthodontic option for you. Compared to braces, there are several advantages to consider. Clear aligners at Parkside Dental offer many benefits, including:
  • A discreet orthodontic treatment
  • 100% in-house production
  • Faster treatment times than braces*
  • More affordable option
  • Precise digital treatment planning
  • Can be removed to eat or clean your teeth
  • Can eat or drink without dietary restrictions
  • Custom-designed by your dentist
With removable clear aligners, you’ll have fewer visits to the office than you would with braces because your dentist doesn’t need to adjust or tighten the devices.
Treatment times with clear aligners vary based on your starting point and desired results. In any case, you can speed up your treatment by following the team’s detailed instructions for using and caring for your aligners. You must wear your aligners for at least 20 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink, or brush your teeth. You should also clean your aligners as you would your normal teeth and keep them in a safe place where you won’t forget them or accidentally throw them away. You’ll wear each aligner for 1-2 weeks before progressing to the next set and repeat this process until you’ve completed treatment. To stay on track, you should attend your follow-up appointments at Parkside Dental and let the team know if anything happens to your aligners.
